Our Lord’s Prayer
Our Father in Heaven hallowed be Your name
Your kingdom come Your will be done
as in Heaven so on earth
give us the bread of our need this day
and forgive us our offences as we forgave those who
have offended us. And bring us not
into trial but deliver us from evil.
For the Kingdom and the power and the glory
are yours now and forever.
The Nicean Creed
(The creed of the Three hundred and eighteen Fathers 325 AD)
We believe in one God The Father Almighty, Maker of all things visible and invisible and in one Lord Jesus Christ
the only Son of God. The first born of all creations who was begotten of His Father before all worlds and not made.
True God of True God of one essence with His Father by whose hands the Worlds were established and all things were created;
who for us humans and for our salvation came down from Heaven and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit
and was conceived and born of the Virgin Mary and suffered and was crucified in the days of Pontius Pilate.
And was buried and rose again on the third day according the Scriptures and ascended into Heaven and sat down at the right hand of His Father and shall come again to judge the dead and the Living.
And in one Holy Spirit, The Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father The Life-giving Spirit;
and in one Holy and Apostolic Catholic Church we acknowledge one Baptism
for the remission of sins and the resurrection of our bodies And life forever and ever. Amen.
Our Holy Creator and loving Father,
Your Holy Spirit inspired your servant Mar Narsai to speak of your love and
to bear witness to the life-giving teachings of your Beloved Son, our Lord
and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Let the Harp of the Spirit inspire us to speak the truth, seek Divine wisdom
and also to bear witness to Your love.
Allow us to be seekers of knowledge, so that through our words and actions
we may be instruments of Your Holy Spirit, who bestows upon us His gifts so
that we may glorify Your Holy and blessed Name.
Let our college be a beacon of hope and a fountain of knowledge for our
Assyrian community, Australian Nation, and Holy Church of the East, shining brightly in our
hearts and minds, bearing fruits of love, compassion and justice; O Lord of
all, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
