2019 Annual Christmas Appeal. Christmas is a time when people come together and share a meal together in joy. Sadly, not everyone has this luxury. That’s why this year, our students decided to donate items and create Christmas hampers to be distributed to those who are less fortunate. 40 hampers were delivered to Catholic Care just in time to spread some Christmas cheer to many families. Our Year 7 students attended the Learn to Swim program. Students were given the opportunity to learn lifesaving skills to protect themselves and others in the water.

Students in year 8 Science have been learning about alternative energy. In this STEM project, students were asked to design and create a working model of a wind turbine. The students were placed into collaborative groups with each one contributing to the creative process. The teacher was the facilitator making sure the students see them as a resource and to monitor their work; the students were guiding their own instruction. Throughout the activity, the students were engaged and documented their successes and failures, reflecting on and adapting their procedures. ... See more

Year 6 students from St Hurmizd Assyrian Primary School experienced a day in the life of a high school student during their Transition Day last week . On Sunday 27 November 2019 St Narsai’s newly completed Stage 3 was officially opened by His Eminence Mar Meelis Zaia AM accompanied by the official party, staff, parents and students. Stage 3 encompasses the COLA (Covered Outdoor Learning Area), the outdoor courtyard garden and Building D. The new building is specifically designed to teach the Creative and Performing Arts in a state-of-the-art facility, whereby classes of Drama, Visuals Arts, Music, Science and other CAPA and TAS subjects will be offered. We thank all sister churches, members of the clergy, Members of Parliament and local council, Assyrian/Chaldean Organisations and Associations, Professors, staff, parents and families for sharing this celebration with us.
